Pharmacy Collect: Changes to Service Specification

The amended service specification has been published and changes will take effect from Monday 4^th October.

Here’s a quick glance at the changes/ updated service spec, but please read the full document before the 4^th October.

• Weekly limit to 6 outers of Covid tests
• Only 2 x test boxes per transaction (down from 4) but please use your professional judgement if a patient asks for more
• Number supplied will need to be entered daily on MYS
• There is no minimum age for patients to collect a test kit (again use your professional judgement)
• Updated marketing materials will be delivered to the pharmacy
• Patients will be encouraged to obtain a collect code (16 digit code) before attending the pharmacy
  • From gov.uk/get-collect-code or phoning 119
• The collect code will need to be recorded along with LOT number, date of collection and number of packs per transaction given when the patient collects
• The collect code is a unique and one time use code
• Packs can still be supplied as an anonymous collection if they don’t have a code
• Details captured as part of the transactions needs to be kept for 6 months
• Payment per transaction is changing to:
  • £1.70 per transaction with collect code
  • £1.20 per transaction for an anonymous collection
