COVID-19: NHS Test and Trace
![]() |
The government has implemented a new contact tracing system across England. NHS Test and Trace will help identify, contain and control COVID-19, and reduce the spread of the virus. Anyone who tests positive for coronavirus will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace and will be asked to share information about their recent interactions. As an essential part of the new system, PHE will work with local government to investigate and control outbreaks and to support the community to ensure safe and effective self isolation. |
To coincide with the launch of NHS Test and Trace, Public Health England has published the following guidance for:
- households with possible or confirmed COVID-19 infection
- non-household contacts of people with possible or confirmed COVID-19 infection
