1st – 7th July

This year’s Alcohol Awareness Week takes place from 1st-7th July and is on the theme of ‘Understanding alcohol harm’.
Across the week, Alcohol Change UK will be discussing the ways in which alcohol harm affects us, and how this ripples out to families, friends, communities and broader society.
They will be sharing a new film to launch the campaign, along with a mythbusting hub to help people learn more about alcohol harm and to bust some common misconceptions.

Free digital resources are available now. These include:

  • A community handbook with ideas for running an alcohol public health campaign.
  • Posters for you to print and use.
  • Factsheets about health risks associated with drinking, ways to cut down, and signposting to support.
  • Social media images to share via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Key messaging and social media posts that are ready to go.
  • Template press release for you to use.
