'Be Clear on Cancer Blood in pee' is the next Health Promotion Campaign for 2018

The campaign will commence on 23rd July 2018 and run through until 7th September 2018. Read on for more details...

This campaign aims to raise public awareness of the symptoms of bladder and kidney cancer.
The primary audience for the campaign is men and women over 50 years from lower socio-economic groups, and the main message for the public is: If you notice blood in your pee, even if it's 'just the once', tell your doctor.

The Be Clear on Cancer Blood in pee Campaign will raise awareness of the symptoms of bladder and kidney cancer and get people to see their GP without delay if they notice blood in their urine. Please find attached the pharmacy briefing with further campaign information and details of resources. Public Health England will be sending resource/display material directly to you, please look out for this and use the material as soon as you receive it to support this important and worthwhile campaign message. Information about the new campaign and pre-ordering of key materials is also now available from the Campaign Resource Centre. Deliveries of campaign materials are expected around the 16 July 2018. If you have not received your resource pack by please email partnerships@phe.gov.uk . Please remember to note your activity on the crib sheet so that you can report your participation on PharmOutcomes at the end of the campaign, the submission deadline is currently the 21st September 2018, we will remind you in advance of the screen becoming available. The information you provide helps demonstrate the importance of your role in reaching the public and informs future campaign activity. |
