Changes to Prescribing Tapentadol MR Tablets

The ICB has agreed a 3-year price guarantee for both Tadomon and Atiodo, brands of tapentadol MR tablets.

As a result, both Tadomon and Ationdo brands are now 40% less costly to the ICB than the generic DT cost price.

Community Pharmacies will start to see prescriptions coming through for these brands rather than generic.

Both brands can be ordered via AAH and Alliance.

Tadomon is a newly launched brand and the stock, when ordered, may take a few days as stock is in the larger depots and not the local ones.

Community pharmacies should only order once you receive a prescription.
