For Pharmacy Technicians and Trainee Pharmacy Technicians
Using Patient Group Directions (PGDs) can feel like a big step. But it is also a powerful opportunity to expand your role and deliver vital NHS services.
CPPE’s PGDs: Empowering pharmacy technicians to provide services online workshop is designed to help you build the confidence, skills and practical understanding you need to step into this responsibility safely and effectively.
Through interactive learning and peer discussion, you will:
- Apply the regulatory framework for PGDs to everyday practice
- Deliver person-centred consultations with confidence
- Identify when referral to other healthcare professionals is appropriate
- Develop practical strategies to provide NHS services using PGDs
With a clinical focus on contraception, emergency contraception and smoking cessation, this workshop helps you feel ready to deliver services that make a real difference to your community.
You will also connect with fellow Pharmacy Technicians to share experiences, explore challenges, and develop solutions together. Building confidence is easier when you learn as a team.
With Pharmacy Technicians now authorised to use PGDs, this is your opportunity to be service-ready.
Upcoming online workshop dates:
- Thursday 11th June, 7-9 pm
- Thursday 2nd July, 7-9 pm
