Useful information for safeguarding and signposting of appropriate people when required

The following information has been provided by the Partnership Support Team, Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board & the Adult Health Dept, Public Health, Hampshire County Council

Although it would probably be unlikely that a pharmacist would formally refer a person to the service, the details below are shared with you to make you aware of the service and be able to signpost to it when appropriate.

New contracts started on 1st April for both victim and perpetrator domestic abuse services in Hampshire, delivered by Stop Domestic Abuse and the Hampton Trust.

There will be a new ‘Domestic Abuse Front Door’ which will act as the first point of contact, information, advice, assessment and triage for victims, their children, perpetrators and professionals. This will allow for anyone to gain information or be referred into the right part of the right service for them, depending on their need and assessed risk level. This will include signposting and referral on to partner services, where appropriate.

Telephone number:

  • The Front Door will remain the same number that is currently used for The Single Point of Contact - 0330 016 5112

New email address for referrals from 1st April 2019:

For those professionals who wish to continue submitting written referrals directly to the Hampton Trust, this can still be done directly via their website at www.hamptontrust.org.uk.

Once the initial service transition has taken place, there will be a formal service launch on 4th June 2019. Further details will be distributed in due course about this event, which will deliver a range of information, including: detailed service presentations; launch of the new service name and branding; promotional materials; and the publication of the newly refreshed Hampshire Domestic Abuse Referral Pathway (& health equivalent) reflecting all of the service changes, including the wider partnership.
