Hampshire & Isle of Wight Winter Funding Tier 1 Claiming

Following your expression of interest to take part in the Hampshire &Isle of Wight Winter Funding, you can now claim Tier 1.

Pharmacies need to claim by 11.59pm on Friday 30^th January. Payments will be during February.

Reminder of Tier 1

• Must be providing Pharmacy First, Pharmacy Contraception Service and Hypertension Case Finding Service (these services support creating capacity within general practice).
• Must be providing the Discharge Medicine Service.
• Community Pharmacy should be explicit in terms of the Daily/Weekly capacity they can offer to the system.
• Will be able to accept referrals for Pharmacy First from urgent care settings via NHS mail. This will support the ICB winter campaign in increasing awareness of patients presenting at the correct setting for health needs.
• Provide evidence of engagement /trying to engage with GP surgery and sharing their capacity for providing all three service (PF, PCS and HCFS) to support primary care access within ICB.

If you haven't already done so, arrange to visit/ speak to your local surgery about capacity and any support they may need with referring patients to you.
