From the 1 April, the Government is launching the HRT Pre-Payment Certificate (PPC) to reduce prescription costs for women receiving Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
Prescribers will need to complete a separate prescription for items covered by the HRT PPC to allow patients to claim the exemption correctly.
Guidance on the HRT PPC is now available and includes details for prescribers (chapter 5) and dispensers (chapter 6).
