The NHSmail team looking for people to trial Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA will be mandatory for all NHSmail users by March 2024
MFA will be an important development for NHSmail to help keep data in a more protected environment. It helps protect the reputation of the NHS, and the individuals and organisations that use NHSmail. It also provides increased protection against cyber-attacks.
The NHSmail team expect most organisations to have fully implemented MFA by January to March 2024. Mandatory rollout of MFA for the Pharmacy NHSmail users is currently scheduled for January 2024.
Any pharmacy NHSmail user can now toggle MFA on/ off and can help with ongoing testing.
Community Pharmacy England working with the NHSmail team has a prepared new one-page factsheet for those pharmacy NHSmail users testing MFA (or adding/removing MFA).
