URGENT: Easter opening hours requests with NHS England & ensuring DoS reporting correct

Written by admin on Thursday 9th April 2020

Essential to ensure that DoS accurately reflects your opening hours this Easter

Action required for DoS updating:

Please note that there is a 24 hour lag between changes being entered on the DoS system to them becoming live on the system. This means any changes relating to Good Friday hours MUST have been entered by MIDNIGHT yesterday.

If a pharmacy wishes to make changes today with respect to Good Friday (tomorrow), then this will have to be done by using the “Capacity Status changes” route (see PSNC website for guidance)

No Action is required on DoS if you intend to open between 2pm and 5pm on Good Friday & Easter Monday, as directed to by NHS England

In this situation; the DoS will be automatically updated to reflect your additional opening hours on Good Friday and Easter Monday

You will therefore not need to make any change

Message from CPSC:

Dear Pharmacy Team,

Please ensure that you have, by now, informed the Regional NHSE team of any inability to open as has been directed for Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The email address to use is ENGLAND.southeastcommunitypharmacy@nhs.net

You must also remember to update the DoS so that no CPCS referrals are sent to the pharmacy while it is closed.

The Regional team have asked for this information as soon as possible to enable the completion of a list of opening pharmacies that they will share with all relevant stakeholders.

Many thanks for the incredible work that you continue to do for your communities!

Keep safe.

Kind regards,
