It includes information for children, eligible adults and pregnant women, and details why it is important that people at increased risk from flu, or who care for someone vulnerable, have their free vaccination every year.

Changes to the eligibility criteria for Covid Vaccinations this Autumn 2025/26

For the first time since December 2020, when Covid vaccines were first introduced, people under 75 and those with most clinical risk factors, such as diabetes or heart disease, will no longer be eligible for an NHS Covid booster vaccination.

In addition, frontline health and social care workers are no longer eligible for a booster dose.

This change will affect around 250,000 people across Hampshire and Isle of Wight who until now have been eligible to have an annual NHS Covid booster vaccination each Autumn. Some may need reminding they are still eligible for their flu vaccination.
