Behaviour Change Training: Brief and Extended Brief Interventions
Written by ArturPysz on Wednesday 20th May 2026
Free training helps staff support residents' health and wellbeing through everyday conversations
Every conversation you have can make a difference to someone’s health.
This behaviour change training programme, fully funded by Hampshire County Council, gives you practical skills and techniques to support the people you work with to think about their health and wellbeing.
What you’ll gain:
- Confidence in what to say - and what not to say - when health comes up.
- Evidence-based techniques for conversations that feel easier and less draining.
- Ways to support people without creating dependency.
- Skills to respond calmly when someone isn’t ready to change.
- Stronger, more effective relationships with the people you support.
There are two elements, both are free and available to all staff;
- A core behaviour training session
- optional monthly practice sessions you can attend as often as you like.
