Chief Officer vacancy to be announced shortly at Pharmacy Thames Valley

Carol Trower has been Chief Officer for Berkshire and latterly for Oxfordshire as well for the last 9 years and, at the March LPC meeting, she informed the LPC that it is her intention to step down in March 2020. Pharmacy Thames Valley will start their recruitment process shortly and would welcome applications from anyone locally who feels they have the skills to take on the role.

Full details of the role, requirements and how to apply will be on their LPC website in early July with interviews proposed for September. Carol will remain in post until March 2020, with the intention to have a handover period with Carol before she leaves.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of pharmacy and ideally have experience of remote working or field management. They will be numerate and a good communicator with a good IT skills. Although the position would be ideally suited to an experienced pharmacist, the Committee are keen to ensure that they get the right person for the role and therefore a pharmacy qualification is not essential.
