Community Pharmacy Workforce Survey 2025

ALL PHARMACIES MUST COMPLETE by 21st November

The Community Pharmacy Workforce Survey 2025 opened on Monday 22nd September and will close on Friday 21st November 2025.

The 2025 survey contains the same questions as the 2024 survey, focusing on the number of staff, the number of full-time equivalents (FTE) and any vacancies in each of the staff categories employed in community pharmacy.

From 1 October 2022, new regulations laid out by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) required pharmacy contractors to complete an annual workforce survey.

This requirement recognises the priority the NHS places on the community pharmacy workforce, and the importance of collecting consistent, accurate data to support effective workforce planning.

As with previous surveys, the data will be collected through two different methods:

  • An online survey on MYS; or
  • Via data collection at Head Office level through an Excel spreadsheet.
