CPPE are hosting a Optimising infection management workshop on Thursday 26th September 2024 at  Bracknell Open Learning Centre, Rectory Lane, Bracknell, RG12 7GR beteen 7-9pm.

It is estimated that at least 20 percent of all antibiotic prescriptions in primary care are inappropriate. The UK’s five-year national action plan to tackle AMR aims to strengthen stewardship programmes by enhancing the role of pharmacy professionals in primary care to review inappropriate antimicrobial prescriptions through evidence-based, system-wide interventions.

This workshop will support pharmacy professionals in community delivering the NHS Pharmacy First service. The workshop will allow you to explore red flag symptoms and self-care advice for sinusitis and urinary tract infections using person-centred scenarios. The workshop will also provide a great opportunity to network with colleagues across primary care to tackle antimicrobial resistance as part of a system-wide approach.
