Expansion of Real Time Exemption Checking rollout

NHS Digital has announced that the Real-time Exemption Checking (RTEC) system will be rolled out to community pharmacies in England in the coming months
The RTEC system, which enables enable pharmacy teams to check digitally whether patients hold specific exemptions from the NHS prescription charge, will be rolled out in phases.
This follows a successful pilot and initial early rollout at 40 community pharmacies using Positive Solutions.
