Penicillamine
An issue with respect to allergy records has been highlighted by the Hampshire Medicines Safety Group (HMSG).
Penicillamine is often selected in error instead of Penicillin when recording an allergy by GP practices. Pharmacists are asked to view any Summary Care records showing Penicillamine as an allergy with suspicion and to double check with GP surgery and/ or patient.
