Tell us what you are doing to support the national campaign
The national NHS campaign to raise awareness of Hypertension launched on Monday 11th March with various media coverage.
The campaign is backed by British Heart Foundation, Stroke Association, Heart Research UK, Blood Pressure UK, May Measurement Month, British Society for Heart Failure, and more and warns that there are often ‘no clues’ about who might have high blood pressure.
It is an excellent opportunity for community pharmacies to utilise uptake of the HCFS and also to fulfil contractual requirements for a Healthy Living Pharmacy (HLP) event that must be delivered by 31st March.
Pharmacies that want to participate can access a free printed pharmacy campaign pack from the Campaign Resource Centre to promote and support the campaign.
In addition, DHSC has also advised that find a pharmacy cards and multicultural resources (TV, radio and social media content) are now available and can be ordered separately, in addition to the pharmacy toolkits.
