Equality Act and multi-compartmental compliance aids Myths and Facts

A module to support pharmacies in understanding the Equality Act and what it means in relation to compliance aids (MCAs).  This course looks at suitable alternatives and walks pharmacies through how to provide a reasonable adjustment if a patient is covered by the Equality Act.  It also helps to support pharmacies in pushing back on requests for MCAs.

  • Do you understand what your responsibility is under the Equality Act?
  • Do you know that one outcome of an equality assessment could be that there is no suitable reasonable adjustment?
  • Do you know that there is NO evidence that MCAs are safer and improve compliance?

This online training is provided free of charge to all community pharmacies located in Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth. The training has been funded by Community Pharmacy South Central to help pharmacies meet their requirement to deliver services and support health promotion activities throughout the year.
