Buttercups Training aims:
To continue to support pharmacies in delivering a wide range of services to their patients, and to ensure we are able to provide the necessary training required to continue to facilitate this.
An overview of a new course that Buttercups has recently released follows her: Understanding Mental Wellbeing
Our 'Understanding Mental Wellbeing' course aims to help create awareness of mental health and explores the impact of positive mental wellbeing on individuals and teams. Our course gives practical advice on identifying the signs that may indicate poor mental wellbeing, whilst providing tools to help overcome these, and to encourage a culture of openness about mental health. The course is designed to raise awareness and understanding of how mental wellbeing affects health, and the teaching techniques used to identify and improve poor mental wellbeing, to the benefit of:
- people in public-facing roles who wish to address mental health issues in their local community
- organisations looking to create a mental wellbeing strategy
- employers wishing to raise awareness and improve mental wellbeing amongst their staff
- individuals who want to learn how to improve their own mental wellbeing and that of others
The course costs £25.00 (+VAT) online, and covers the following areas:
Health, Mental Health and Mental Wellbeing
- This covers common terminology, and examines the burden of mental health problems at a local and national level.
Know Your Mind:
- This covers how the functioning of the brain, mind and body are thought to affect our mental wellbeing, exploring the importance of such concepts as resilience, self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Creating Healthy Minds:
- This covers the practical techniques used to identify the factors which determine our level of mental wellbeing, and considers lifestyle factors that influence mental wellbeing and strategies for dealing with a mental health crisis.
Wellbeing in the Workplace:
- This covers practical advice for employers and employees to help identify how improvements at work can improve mental wellbeing, and provides key resources and contacts to help create a mental wellbeing strategy.
