The lot numbers on the Orient Gene lateral flow device test kits are one character shorter than those on other brands of test kits. As a result, entries onto the Manage Your Service (MYS) application are not being accepted as the system requires an eight-character lot number. To remedy this, you will need to add the letter ‘G’ in front of the lot number to submit their data.
Pharmacy Collect: stock update and anonymous collections
Written by AlisonFreemantle on Tuesday 14th December 2021
An update from PSNC 13th Dec
Pharmacies are expected to have seen and will see a significant increase in demand for Lateral Flow Devices.
PSNC have been advised by NHS Test and Trace that plenty of stock is still available to pharmacies via Alliance Healthcare, so contractors should continue to order one carton of test kits per day.
The current tests are ‘DHSC ORIENT GENE test kits’ PIP: 8943995
The brand of kits supplied on behalf of NHS Test and Trace changes from time to time and it may therefore appear that no stock is available on the Alliance Healthcare stock system for some of the previously distributed products, but orders placed for any of these previously used products should auto-direct to the LFD brand that is in stock and the order will be placed.
While in most cases, pharmacies have been receiving their orders for test kits next day, deliveries can take up to three working days. Remember you can order one carton of test kits each day (Monday to Saturday).
If you experience any supply issues obtaining test kits, in the first instance please contact Alliance Healthcare customer service support: customerservice@alliance-healthcare.co.uk or call 0330 100 0448.
Pharmacy teams are reminded that although people should be encouraged to use a collect code to receive lateral flow device test kits, if they do not wish to register for a collect code, a supply can still be made as an anonymous collection.
