Pharmacy Contraception Service

All Pharmacies signed up to the Pharmacy Contraception Service MUST provide both elements: Ongoing Supply and Initiation.

The LPC are engaging with the Local Medical Committee and ICB to help inform patients of availability of the service and direct patients to pharmacies rather than GP surgeries.

We have had feedback recently from GP surgeries that some pharmacies are only doing Ongoing Supply - this is in breach of the service specification. If you are registered to provide the service, you MUST DO Initiation.
