Providing Covid Vaccinations from Autumn 2024

Opt-in registration open to Community Pharmacies now until 27^th June to provide Covid vaccinations for Autumn 2024 through to March 2026.

Pharmacy sign-up process launched for the autumn/winter 24/25 COVID-19 vaccination service

All primary care providers who wish to deliver the COVID-19 Vaccination Service from their healthcare premises from 1^st September 2024 are invited to sign up by indicating their intention to participate through the NHSBSA webpage. Any provider wishing to participate must read the guidance which outlines the Site Sign-up Process and key deadlines. To support, NHS England has published:

• COVID-19 vaccination enhanced service specification for general practice and community pharmacy
• Guidance on the COVID-19 Vaccination Service Site Sign-up Process 

The seasonal influenza letter and service specifications for the 24-25 programme were published in March and are available for community pharmacy.

Need to know:

• Number of vaccinating campaigns Autumn/ Spring between Autumn 24 – Spring 26 as yet undecided.
• Vaccination fee for Autumn 24 is £7.54
• Read the Enhanced service specification and be confident that they will be able to meet its requirements
• Must provide the Flu Vaccination Advanced Service from September 2024 to 31st March 2025.
• Must be able to offer at least 100 COVID-19 vaccinations per week.
• Must be ‘in good standing’ from a regulatory perspective with the NHS and other organisations such as the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• An additional £2.50 will be payable for the administration of each COVID-19 vaccination to each patient when not seasonal influenza vaccination period.
