'Lighting Dementia Awareness Reaching Communities (DARC)'

For anyone who wants to know more about dementia: who encounters people with dementia in their work, neighbourhood, shops, stores, banks, pubs, clubs parks, work, at church, on transport ...

- aim: to be more knowledgeable about dementia, able to engage with people prepared to offer assistance

- ideal for those who want additional follow-up to the ‘Dementia Friends’ or other basic training

What is provided:

- a certificate of attendance

- course hand-outs

- a laminated window poster saying staff have attended this course

You will need to pay a non-refundable booking fee of £10 per person (the rest is subsidised by the Alzheimer Cafe)

Registration is required, first come first served

You will need to bring a packed lunch, although refreshments will be provided

Parking is available in front of the centre and along the road
