Enhanced Service agreement offers will be sent out between 17th to 19th December 2025
If you have not heard from us by 15th January 2026, please assume your pharmacy has not been selected to open under an enhanced service agreement.
The process for ensuring Pharmacy Provision on Bank Holiday is as follows:
- Ask all pharmacies to declare their intentions for opening on the relevant bank holidays. From the opening hours declarations, cover over on the Bank Holidays is reviewed.
- Where there are gaps in provision in specific locations, pharmacies in that area are contacted directly asking if they would like to express an interest to open under an Enhanced Service.
- Where the gaps are not filled by pharmacies willing to provide services under the Enhanced Service, Directions to open will be issued.
- For both the Enhanced Service and Directions, pharmacies that opened on previous bank holidays is taken into account to ensure fairness.
